Depending on your type of work, please include:
We love fiction in all its forms. We currently work across these genres — and we do not take on non-fiction.
We welcome manuscripts in English and any Indian language. India has extraordinary stories across every tongue — we want to hear them all.
If your manuscript is in an Indian language, please include a brief synopsis or rough translation in English so we can fully appreciate your work.
We aim to respond within 6–8 weeks. We're a small team and we give every manuscript the time it deserves — so please bear with us during this period.
If you haven't heard from us after 8 weeks, a gentle follow-up is always welcome.
Yes, absolutely! Send them as separate emails so we can give each one individual attention.
Not at all. If your picture book is selected for publication, we take care of the illustration process. You focus on the words — we'll find the right artist to bring them to life.
If you already have an illustrator you'd like to work with, just mention it in your submission and we'll factor that into our conversation.
We'd prefer that you don't send us a manuscript that's simultaneously submitted elsewhere — we invest real time in every read, and we appreciate the same consideration in return.
Once our 6–8 week review period is up, you're completely free to submit to others. We'd just appreciate a heads-up if you do.
We wish we could give detailed feedback to everyone — but due to the volume we receive, we can only provide in-depth responses to shortlisted manuscripts.
That said, if we feel your work has real potential but isn't quite ready, we'll always say so. We'd rather encourage a writer than leave them wondering.
